hello from Nashville, TN! yes, I'm writing about our trip to Colorado while I'm on our next trip in Tennessee ... kind of trippy, huh? 😂

I wanted to share a few snippets of our time in the Denver area. I've been delaying this blog post because I'm waiting for some news to be finalized (which we will be sharing so so soon!!) but I figured I could go ahead and drop some more fun pictures and tell you all our favorite spots we got to see while exploring over a snowy weekend!
we stayed with one of my friends from college and her husband who live in Denver and got the local tour of Arvada, Boulder, and Golden.
our favorite stops:
sweet bloom coffee
great harvest bakery
alpine modern (boulder)
high point creamery

a carrot juice martini with dill-infused foam! a very unique drink to say the least haha

tea from great harvest! was such a nice cozy little spot :)

snowy weather started coming in Friday late morning / early afternoon, and I don't think any of us realized how much snow we would end up getting! I think the total was around 3 inches by Friday evening! Justen and I had fun playing in the snow and even made a snowman who we named Billy Bob Joe.

on Saturday morning we ventured out to Boulder, CO and had the BEST breakfast sandwiches of our lives at Alpine Modern. I got a croissant sandwich with ham, eggs, gruyere cheese, and avocado. it was even better than it sounds. sadly didn't get a pic!
we explored a little after brunch and took some cute snowy pictures along Chautauqua Trail.

we were lucky to even have packed puffy coats and my hat (we weren't expecting the weather change at all!) and got to borrow gloves from our friends.

Sunday was much sunnier and more moderate weather, so we spent some time outside exploring Golden, CO. this was my favorite town!! Justen really loved Boulder (and I did too!), but something about Golden really captured my heart. it was so sweet and calm and family-friendly -- everyone was walking their dogs and out on runs and playing with their kiddos in the water. it seemed so serene and separate from all the hustle of Denver while still having plenty to do and see and eat. and it's soooo close to the mountains, they're basically in your backyard.
we loved it and will definitely be back soon!! ;)
xoxo,
emily
